Size Reduction| Cryogenic Milling

WEDCO^SM advanced cryogenic grinding systems use liquid nitrogen to freeze and convey the heat-sensitive materials being size-reduced.  Size-reduction is accomplished by the use of a variety of grinding mechanisms, and the systems can be configured in multiple ways in order to tailor the final powder distribution depending on the application.  The systems accurately control the temperature of the material, which ensures efficient use of liquid nitrogen and minimizes moisture pick-up. 

We employ our cryogenic methods whenever materials are too heat-sensitive to be processed at ambient temperatures.  Common materials are polypropylenes, nylons, low melt polyesters, elastomers, and polyurethanes among others.
